Past projects funded by Maryland bonds

Baltimore Convention Center

The Baltimore Convention Center sits in the heart of downtown and brings in conventions and tradeshows that infuse the local economy and create thousands of jobs. And it's there largely because of municipal bond funding.

Environmental Care

Maryland puts a lot of investment into proper handling of solid waste and wastewater. Investment in bonds goes toward landfill maintenance, wastewater plants, and in some cases, dredging. These efforts create new usable land, and keep Maryland's air and water clean.

Thurgood Marshall Airport Improvements

Upgrades and safety measures at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport were financed through bond funding. These upgrades were geared toward passenger safety and security, as well as new facilities to improve the travel experience.
