Past projects funded by North Carolina bonds

DNCR State Parks

North Carolina's 39 state parks encompass some of the most beautiful and unique bits of nature you can find. And municipal bond funding goes into maintaining them, as well as building local parks for children and veterans with disabilities.

North Carolina Zoo

Additions and renovations to the Australia and Africa complexes in the North Carolina Zoo were paid for out of general-obligation bond funding. The zoo was also able to make upgrades on related and surrounding buildings because of bond investments.

Renovating Colleges and Universities

As many as 58 community colleges and technical schools across the state of North Carolina have been able to make repairs, renovations, and create new infrastructure thanks to municipal bond investment. That's in addition to a number of new facilities in the UNC network and other public universities.
