Hi there! I’m Katie, Neighborly’s newest Operations Manager.
I grew up in the Bay Area and moved to NYC within days of graduating from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!). I spent the past several years at Bridgewater Associates, where I was responsible for running projects and events in the facilities and campus recruiting departments.
In the process of looking for new and interesting roles, a friend, former intern at Bridgewater and current Neighbor, told me about Neighborly, where he’d recently started working, and mentioned an awesome job opportunity. Even during my first interview at Neighborly, I started to gain such a clear understanding of the mission-driven attitude of everyone at the company. The Neighbors I met with (who already feel like a second family!) all seemed so naturally excited about the projects they were working on and networks they were building, and I couldn’t help but get excited too! Here I am, so I guess the rest is history!
I am excited to be part of a company (and community of amazing people) that is improving how cities and communities across the country fund crucial projects that enhance the quality of lives for the people who live in them, and for individuals in those communities to play an important role in making those projects happen.
